It. is. HOT. Really, really hot. Just thinking of using my propane makes me want to crawl into an ice cold shower and then pass out under the AC for a few hours. So, I'd love some ideas. What's cooking in your kitchens in this crazy, summer heat?
Maybe I'll get this posted as a recipe, but it's really simple. Macaroni salad: Macaroni pasta mayonaise favorite seasoning salt (I prefer Johnny's Steak Seasoning) mandarin oranges peas corn chunks of cheese chunks of ham (use turkey ham down here). Mix and chill. Totally works as a meal, forget using it as a side. :)
I'm interested in trying this "summer pasta" recipe which requires minimal cooking and a no-cook tomato/olive oil/herb/garlic marinade/dressing/sauce. If only we had fresh mozzarella down here! http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/29/magazine/29food-t.html?_r=1&ref=magazine&oref=slogin

We do have fresh mozzarella here in Dominica. It's delicious too.
